GBC Touring Rides

Our southern chapter, Golden Beach Cycling, hosted an ANZAC day weekend on the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail.

Seventeen riders switched from road to gravel. With heavy rain the night before we enjoyed water crossings and mud. 

It wasn't all cycling with lots of social activities, pizza nights, pub meals, dancing and campfires. Accommodation was in caravans and AirBnbs. Old friends and new friends enjoying what we all love with a bit of mud thrown in. 

Three rides and with a large group, offered different paces suiting pedal powered and ebikes, mountain, gravel and touring bikes.

Day 1: Esk toToogoolawah return 40km and several water crossings
Day 2: Esk to Lowood return 72km
A few extended onto Fernvale for a 90km day
Day 3: Linville-Blackbutt return 45km
Mud and water crossings
